Blue Orange Green Pink Purple

maybe.

la bi xiao xin no more

in memory of yoshito usui, author of crayon sinchan.

opening:

one of the many funny/ retarded clip: sinchan parodies nobita from doraemon

a clip from a very heart warming sin chan movie called 大人帝國 loosely translated to adult empire/wonderland/ themepark (i know it sounds wrong). the plot is about sinchan's parents started to believe that they are kids again after going to this themepark and it is sinchan's mission to help his parents realise that they are actually adults. makes me teary eyed everytime i watch this part:
i watched alot of crayon sinchan when i was small...still remember the days during primary school where i will rush back home after school just to watch the crayon sinchan vcd (no dvd yet ok but got vcd liao) w my sister...we secretly borrowed the vcd from her friends... had to rush home because my parents will ban us from watching too much tv when they get back...truly one of the things that you only realised how much you missed them when you look back...

hahha i think i watch so much crayon sinchan that i think it affected my character and behaviour to a certain extent (that explains alot of things right? hahah)... but on top of the endless laughters i get from the random/retarded/inappropriate crayon sinchan antics, i wanna thank crayon sinchan for showing me the happiness and warmth that could be found in a family and that made me really look forward to starting a family of my own (ok abit early...no gf yet gg).

Thank you for reminding me that i was once a kid too. Rest in peace, father of xiao xin.

killers + vma

qn: what's better than watching the killer's concert?
ans: watching them the second time.

last week i went to watch them live in concert! again! this time i got the lawn seats...much further from the stage when compared to the first time i saw them... i was watching the screens for most of the concert. it was at an amphitheatre so the lawn is pretty cool and you can see alot of ppl esp couples lying on the grass enjoying the night breeze (before the start of the concert that is). they brought their own blanket/spread to keep themselves cosy cos the night was pretty cold actually. nonetheless the concert was still awesome! killers jiu shi killers...though i was further away this time i think i enjoyed myself as much if not more compared to the first time (i think it is because i know more songs this time round!). brandon flowers is still very seh and Somebody Told Me is an amazing number when the killers perform it live.

last night i watched the vma awards! yes yes i know kanye is a d-bag for what he did to taylor swift but hey if not for him i won't have checked out taylor's winning video (i guess no publicity is bad publicity):
the video was pretty cute and the best part is that taylor is playing both the innocent girl and the evil girl friend! (it's ok it took me sometime too all angmoh looks the same to me)

but the part that i liked most is actually the michael jackson tribute...i found out that the dancers are actually superstar choreographers like wade robson and ann m. gibson...no wonder so zai!...a movie made from the rehearsal of MJ's "this is it" concert will be released in october...though i know it's just a ploy to milk money i got a feeling that i will still watch it hahaa...
New Music - More Music Videos
ok the vid above may be limited to US only so i'll show you my ouxiang nick demoura's choreography to mj's man in the mirror instead
Anyway somehow my chatter box ---> has been down for a few days for now reason...so use the comment function below instead for the time being! recommend me some other chatter box that you guys are using (ok abit diulian cos i am working in an internet startup and should be familiar w this things)...will hold out for a few more days to see if it comes back up before i change the chatterbox for good.

La Si Wei Jia Si

last weekend was a long weekend, labour day yay! and we drove 8 hours to LAS VEGAS!
賭俠1999, 賭俠大戰拉斯維加斯
haha still remember watching this when i was primary six. seeing las vegas with my own eyes is pretty unreal...at night we watched the blue man show in the venetian. It was out of this world, nothing like anything i've seen before. ahh i din not bring camera to the venetian. basically they recreated venice and there's a indoor water channel where the guest can tour thru the shops on a gandola. There are many shows that I would really like to watch like all the cirque du soleil shows and the penn & teller show and criss angel show.

our room in MGM grand!
lobby of MGM grand
in bellagio
slots! lost 10 bucks on them
bellagio ceilling damn nice

bellagio buffet, this is why you guys will not recognise me when i get back
wynn hotel...there's another hotel that looks exactly the same that's called encore.
ok nope i was not playing on this machine
vegas at night

THE BELLAGIO! the water body in front of the hotel houses the bellagio fountain featured in ocean's eleven! the faountain show is super duper nice!
another interesting hotel called paris. yes that is eiffel tower. there's a arch of triumph as well.
caesars palace! as featured in hangover!
mgm mirage..the beatles love show is actually a show by cirque du soleil imagine circus with beatles music.

crazy sculptures
caesarrr!

no head one wor
merlion's long lost brother merhorse ok what a lousy name
inside caesar
casinoo
there's actually lions in MGM grand. but they are perpetually sleeping whole day. kinda like me.
the windows are gold in colour
luxorr! looks like a pyramid buil by aliens. yes that is the hotel the rooms are on the sides of the pyramid.

i think this is my favourite casino called new york new york. full furnished with empire state building and statue of liberty! and yes the hotel rooms are in the new york sky scrapers! best thing is that you can take a roller coaster around the casino.

one of the shows at new york new york called zumanity by cirque de soleil as well. a very funny poster haha

las vegas is almost magical and i don't mean it in a good way. here you see what money can really buy you. everything is so exagerated and expensive. everything is so posh and highclass and gold and shiny. but you can't help but feel empty because you know at the back of your head that everything here is man-made and they are all but an empty shell, a hollow facade trying to put a pretty face on the ugly truth. vegas is able to warp your senses, and in casinos you will view money as game credits instead of something that can be exchanged for something that is valuable like food. there were many times i see my friend's "crazy eyes" and saying that "just one more try, i will win back all my money" and end up getting burnt. vegas is also haven for pleasure seekers. worse still, pleasures are easily accessible even to those who are not looking for it. seriously i believe that indulging in all these will mess yourself up. not that i think life should be boring and without pleasures but there must be a reason for pleasure itself. It's like how sex is meant to be enjoyed by people in marriage. seeking pleasure and pleasure alone will just leave yourself empty and screw up the values on how you view relationships and money etc. not trying to be preachy or saying that i am not tempted in anyway but this is kinda what i feel at the end of the trip. however the scariest part about vegas is that you do not feel wrong doing all these vices because it is so accessible and everyone is doing it. i guess it resonates with the saying that "the best lie Satan can tell you is that he does not exist". with that said, i guess vegas is still a fun place to hang out with friends and all the shows are pretty interesting. i will definitely come again if i have much much more money to burn (stay in bellagio penthhouse!!)

bonus!
Tearin' up my heart along Las Vegas Strip
